San Diego Yacht Club Wins Lipton Cup

The 101st Challenge for the Lipton Cup saw 12 elite yacht club teams sailing J/105s in a three day (Oct 30-Nov 1) round-robin series on San Diego Bay. Hosted by San Diego Yacht Club, their team led by skipper Tyler Sinks took over the lead on day two and held on today to take the title. A strong third day by Newport Harbor Yacht Club moved them up to second, passing defending champions St. Francis Yacht Club who finished third.
