The ninth annual Storm Trysail Ted Hood Regatta took over Marblehead’s waters August 13-16 co-hosted by Corinthian Yacht Club and Eastern Yacht Club. A fleet of 36 boats was split among One Design (including J/105s) and PHRF Divisions with two classes in each. “Plenty of strong competition and excellent race management team made for great sailing at the 2026 Ted Hood Regatta,” said Principal Race Officer Ray Redniss. “The weather cooperated save for lighter breeze to start out on Sunday. However, after waiting and restarting, the day featured the same Chamber of Commerce conditions as Friday and Saturday.” Matthew Herbster and the crew aboard No Quarter dominated the J/105 fleet, winning all four of the races. Charlie Garrard and Idalin were second across the line for three of the four and took second place overall, with Ric Dexter’s Brouhaha in third. Full results: https://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu/50664
