#324 has always been one of the fastest boats in the J/105 fleet. Originally christened Kincsem and owned by a past President of the J/105 Class, she came out of the blocks fast and never slowed down. In 2013 she was purchased for the junior big-boat program at American Yacht Club and renamed Young American. Under the coaching of Peter Becker and others, the youth team stacked up trophy after trophy, racing both distance events and one-design regattas across Long Island Sound and Rhode Island Sound. #324 is a proven winner in both formats.
